Pastors Kenneth and Detreal Mathews serve as the dedicated lead pastors of By Faith Ministries International of Baytown. As passionate servants of God, they have committed their lives to advancing the Kingdom through preaching, teaching, leadership, and compassionate ministry. Together, they have faithfully served for 10 years, impacting countless lives through their unwavering commitment to biblical truth, prayer, discipleship, and community outreach.
Pastor Kenneth Mathews
Called to the ministry at the age of 21, Pastor Kenneth has spent his life growing in wisdom, faith, and a deep love for God’s church. His personal experiences and spiritual journey have shaped him into a powerful preacher and a compassionate leader. He is passionate about sharing the Gospel, empowering men, women, and youth, equipping them to walk in purpose, and witnessing lives transformed for the Kingdom.
Lady Detreal Mathews
Lady Mathews stands faithfully beside her husband as a strong, grace‑filled leader. Together, they minister with unity, humility, and a heart for God’s people. Her love for God, her family, and the church shines through her service, encouragement, and commitment to building a ministry rooted in faith and excellence.
Their Ministry Vision
Pastor and Lady Mathews are devoted to cultivating a ministry centered on faith, love, unity, and service. They believe in creating an atmosphere where individuals can encounter God, discover their purpose, and grow in their relationship with Christ. Their ministry stands firmly on Romans 1:17:

They are blessed with four sons and eight grandchildren, who bring joy and inspiration to their lives. With hearts full of love and dedication, they continue to serve God’s people faithfully while inspiring others to walk boldly in faith and fulfill their divine calling.

Women of Worth – 4th Saturdays at 1:00 p.m.
Women of Worth is a powerful women’s Bible study group devoted to inspiring, uplifting, and strengthening women in their walk with God. It’s a welcoming space where women can come together to grow in faith, share openly, and build meaningful, supportive relationships.
Rooted in God’s Word, this group reminds every woman of her true value and identity. By Faith Youth Ministries is dedicated to helping young people grow spiritually and live with purpose. Built on the belief of walking by faith, the ministry provides a supportive space for youth to explore their relationship with God, build strong values, and develop leadership skills. Through Bible study, mentorship, and outreach activities, young people are encouraged to apply faith in everyday life. The ministry also promotes service and compassion, teaching youth to make a positive impact in their communities. By Faith Youth Ministries inspires the next generation to trust God, overcome challenges, and live boldly in their faith while supporting one another along the journey.
